We answer two listener questions about these topics.Family who are fully aware of pagan beliefs but get offended if something is ever posted or mentioned that isn't aligned with their Christian worldview. At the same time they feel they can post what they want.Also"I am just starting to deepen my practice as a heathen and I find myself very interested in speaking to and reaching out to my ancestors, especially when I listen to you both discussing it on the podcast.However, A lot of my ancestors were terrible people. (redacted) I think this might be a very divisive issue as I am sure some folks would advocate for respecting the ancestors regardless, but my morality goes hand in hand with my spiritual practice so I simply can't do that. In addition, she is a jewelry and sculpture artist who sells her wares via her site Cat and Crow. She lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with her husband and three spoiled dogs. Additionally, she is blessed to have a chosen family and an amazing godson.For two decades, Lauren has been an active advocate for a pro-queer and anti-racist vision of Heathenry. She helped form the first inclusive Heathen kindred in Arkansas and has been active in the greater Midwest and Midsouth area as a public face for Inclusive Heathens. She serves as a lay chaplain for hospitals and hospices in Central Arkansas for Heathen patients. She is a student of traditional Ozark folk magic and medicine, and fuses these practices with her inclusive Heathen faith.Lauren is the host of Heathen Talk, SHEathenry, and most recently Heathen History.
